Over the last few years Northern Assessors have become one of the leading, if not the leading specialist, with regard to the inspection of motor vehicles where low speed impacts are usually involved and where we are frequently instructed to report to our principals with regard to overall damage consistency.
This specialist area of our expertise is one where we are frequently instructed by the majority of the UK insurers and also many solicitor principals to carry out such involved and detailed inspections and usually of both the Claimant’s and the Defendant’s vehicles.
We are able to provide very comprehensive reports that assist those having to deal with damage consistency claims and in particular where we can include in the reports exploded views of relevant body components, especially those that have energy absorbing properties.
We are also able to provide, where possible, vehicle orientation details in graphic format which help to identify the position of respective vehicles at impact.
There are many occasions where we are able to identify related and unrelated damage and also where we are able to advise on the respective kerb weights of the vehicles involved which in itself can have a bearing on the extent of damage sustained to each vehicle.
Our reports are detailed and comprehensive, and they always include good quality images of each vehicle involved in a particular incident.
We are also able to advise with regard to the heights from ground level of respective body components and also report as to whether or not there are any signs of paint transfer etc.

After feeling stressed regarding an accident to my husbands vehicle, I was dreading a visit from the insurance assessor mainly because we didn’t know what to expect. But our fears were alleviated initially when the visit was arranged on the phones to suit our timetable by nice girl.
On the morning of the visit we were rung by a gentleman called Adam who told us when he would arrive. He was punctual and was a very polite knowledgable and friendly young man. He put us at our ease and took lots of photographs and was very thorough in his examination. He appreciated we were concerned and assured us he would deal with our case promptly. True to his word we got an answer re the outcome not long after his visit.
